The service categories and third party concerns shown below are those that we can provide to those we serve. It is necessary to choose only the items you desire; however, any funeral or cremation arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any specific items you did not ask for, we will explain it in writing on the statement we provide describing the services and third party expenditures you selected.
When making funeral/cremation decisions, ahead of time or at the time of need, the Statement of Services and Third Party Charges that you receive is required of every funeral provider by the Federal Trade Commission and is also pursuant to the requirements of North Carolina General Statue 90-210(e) for those providers practicing in this state.
Except in certain cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing.
Direct cremation or immediate burial do not require embalming.
