Obituary

Daniel Dedrick was born on March 8, 1973 in Poughkeepsie, NY. He was a resident of Matthews North Carolina since 1996. He passed away on Monday October 21st at CMC Main in Charlotte, NC after spending 10 days in the MICU from a massive GI bleed from liver failure due to toxic mold exposure.

Dan lived in New York, Arizona and North Carolina. He was ambitious from a young age and began working full time in high school managing various restaurants around the age of 18.

Dan started working in the firearms business when he was in his early 20’s. He eventually opened his own business and became an FFL dealer with a class III license. During his time as a dealer Dan sold to a variety of clients that included NFL players, entertainers, actors, police departments, and national security agencies. He was highly regarded and was sought out for his expertise in handling and ordering. He was the weapons consult on several movies including “The Patriot”.

Dan turned in his FFL license in the mid 2000’s and opened a paintball army/navy store with a 22-acre woodsball paintball field. He created scenarios which brought players from all over the country for his authentic military simulation experience. He patented “The Army of Ten Tournament” where teams competed against each other and the Carolina Panthers for a $5000 prize.

After Dan became ill, he had a home-based business where he designed and created signs for businesses and schools all over the Charlotte Metro area. He also created a low cost turn key home based business creating paracord bracelets.

Dan is survived by spouse Jane, son Christopher, daughter Samantha, daughter Angela, son Michael, mother Nancy Winters, father Ronald Dedrick, step-father Joe Winters, sister Kristy Dedrick, 1 niece, 3 nephews 3 grandnieces and 1 grandnephew.
