Anita Tipton McCarver

Anita Tipton McCarver, 82, of Indian Trail, went to be with the Lord Friday, March 23, 2018. She was born January 10, 1936, in Asheville, NC, and was the daughter of the late Thomas John Tipton and Elizabeth Wilson Tipton. Mrs. McCarver is preceded in death by her husband, Donald McCarver, and her son, Eddie "Lanny" McCarver, and son-in-law Troy Oxendine. Anita was a proud member of Hopewell Baptist Church and was a former pianist and organist there. She was also a member of Mary's Sunday School Class. Her immediate family includes two daughters, Donna Oxendine and Kari Holshouser and her husband, Gene; her sister, Helen Huffman; daughter-in-law, Penny McCarver; five grandchildren, Jonathan Oxendine and his wife, Andrea, Megan Lemmond and her husband, Josh, Dylan McCarver, Tyler Belk, and Colton Belk; three great grandchildren, Korbin Oxendine, Kendal Oxendine, and Gracie Lemmond. -
