Aubry L. Sloan

Aubry L. Sloan passed away August 20, 2022, at his home in Matthews, N.C.  

He was born December 1^st, 1926, in Nettleton, MS. to Ogal and Katie Sloan, who preceded him in death.  Also preceding him in death were his loving wife of 59 years, Juanita; son, Dewey; in laws, Arden and Zenobia Grooms as well as many aunts, uncles, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews and cousins.  

Aubrey is survived by one son, Dennis (Mary) Sloan of Marion, IL; grand-daughter, McCamy (Will) Blake of Monroe, NC; great grand-daughter, Arden of Monroe, NC; 3 step-granddaughters, 7 step-great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Mary, Jessie and Samantha and one brother, Owen (Neawanna) all of Kansas City, MO area and Emporia, KS; sister-in-law, Beverly of Marion, IL; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Aubry and Juanita met and married in Oak Ridge, TN.  They moved to Rockledge, FL. in 1967 and both retired from the Kennedy Space Center.  He was a proud member of IBEW for over 70 years. Aubry loved NASCAR, SEC football and the Miami Dolphins.

A small memorial service will be held at Florida Memorial Gardens, 5950 US-1, Rockledge, FL, on February 26^th, 2023 at 11:00 am.  Family and friends are welcome to attend.
