Barbara Ann Ross Folk, 77, of Charlotte, went to be with the Lord on June 5, 2023.  A gathering of family and friends will take place at Gaskin Funeral Services, Friday June 9th from 6:30 pm until 8:00 pm.  

She leaves behind her husband, James Michael “Mike” Folk; daughter, Lynn and son-in-law Thomas Leslie Eure; daughter Traci and son-in-law John Carlos Rider; grandchildren JonathanMacKenzie Eure and his wife Jena Lane Eure; Sarah Brinkley Eure; Andrew Thomas Eure; Nathanael James Eure; Anderson Ross Rider; as well as great-granddaughter Lydia Jane Eure, sister Ann Christine Thornton and her husband Alvin Thornton along with several nieces and nephews.

 

Barbara was born on August 5, 1945 to Granville D. and Margaret Charlotte Ross in Messongo, Virginia.  After graduating from high school as valedictorian of her class, Barbara wed the love of her life, Mike, to whom she was married for sixty years.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Granville D. and Margaret Charlotte Ross; brothers Mitchell Frank Ross and James Samuel Ross.
