Christopher William "Chris" Timler

February 18, 1975 — November 11, 2018

I made my entrance into this world on February 18, 1975, with a BANG! I lived in Piscataway, NJ with my mom, Linda, dad, Paul and two brothers, Matt and Paul Jr. I had lots of friends and played rough. Every morning I would walk my baby brother, Matt, to school. I took dance and modeled, you know, the usual for a handsome kid like me! I used to visit my grandparents in NC. In the summertime I would spend great summers with my Uncle Bill and Aunt Diane. They lived in the coolest place in New Jersey! I could just run around and be free! My parents soon decided to move us to Charlotte, NC, to be near my grandparents. I loved playing Memory with a deck of cards, with my grandpa. He would always tell me how smart I was. I grew up in the Mint Hill, NC, area and always had a wild time with all of my friends, especially my best friend, Jay. We did some crazy things and enjoyed every minute of it! My Uncle Bill owned Rapid Rooter and as an early teen he began teaching me the plumbing trade. I worked for Rapid Rooter for almost 25 years. My life would soon take an unexpected turn...At the age of 22, I met the lady I would spend the rest of my life with! She came with a beautiful son, TJ, and a beautiful daughter, Alyssa! My microwave family is what I called them...just add water and poof they were there filling my heart with love that I never knew I could feel. My wife, Gina and I started our own business, Tarheel Plumbing and Construction. Now, I will let my Khaleesi, my moon, my stars finish my story! My sweet man walked out of our front door early Sunday morning, November 11, 2018 and walked into eternity. I was blessed to have spent 21 years with my best friend, the love of my life and the man of my dreams. Everyone called him Big C. He was larger than life and his heart was even bigger! He loved to help people whenever he could. He protected us and filled my life with belly-aching laughter and the sweetest kisses! Chris was my heart, my mind, my eyes, ears and my spine! My baby is gone and now I am hollow. His son, TJ Kiker, his daughter, Alyssa Maples and their families are hollow. He has left a void that will never be filled! Christopher William Timler was preceded in death by his mother Linda Assell, his father Paul Timler, his brother Matt and his maternal grandmother, JoAnn Assell, and his paternal grandparents. He is survived by his loving wife, Gina Mangle Timler, his son TJ Kiker and his love Krystal Smith, granddaughters, Jordyn and Kali Kiker; his daughter, Alyssa Maples and her love Aaron Tylee; his beloved dog Grohl; his maternal grandfather, William Assell; his mother-in-law, Kay Mangle. Also surviving are his Uncle and Aunt, Bill and Diane Assell.
