Denise Rene' (Mills) Dize died peacefully Saturday, September 15, 2018 after a long battle with cancer. She was born on December 8, 1967 in Fremont, Michigan, to Lois Anne (Jeremiah) and David Robert Mills. Growing up in the Midwest, including great towns such as Joliet, IL, she later moved to Charlotte, NC where she served as a Preschool Teacher for over ten years at Carmel Baptist Church and Faith United Methodist Church. She was a devoted mother and wife who developed strong friendships and loved watching NASCAR racing. She was a member of Carmel Baptist Church. Mrs. Dize was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Peter. Survivors include her husband Mike, daughter Hannah and son Matthew of Indian Trail, NC; her sister Tammi Wagner and husband Ken Wagner and their children Melonie, Andy and Katie of Nashville, TN; her brother Scott Mills and wife Kelly (Lovett) Mills and their children Shelby and Tate of Gallatin, TN. A Celebration of Life service will be held Wednesday, September 19 at 2pm at Carmel Baptist Church, 1145 Pineville-Matthews Rd., Matthews, NC in the Uptown Auditorium.
