Dorothy Gunther "Dot" Cunningham

Dorothy Gunther Cunningham, 94, of Matthews, went to be with the Lord she loved so much Tuesday, August 9, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, George F. Cunningham. Her immediate family includes her daughter, Rosanne Bateman and her husband, Hank, of Matthews, North Carolina. Rosanne and Hank want to express their sincere appreciation to Plantation Estates for the heartfelt attention to every detail that was made available to Dot. She was treated and cared for as one of their personal family members. Also, the special concern and thoughtfulness that Hospice and Palliative Care, Charlotte Region, provided will always be a cherished memory of the family. Graveside services for Ms. Cunningham will be held in Wilmington, Delaware. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, Charlotte Region, 1420 E. Seventh St. Charlotte, NC 28204. -
