Fred Tucker Roberts

Fred Tucker Roberts, 78, of Charlotte, NC, passed away peacefully at Levine &Dickson Hospice House at Southminster on February 11, 2024.

Fred was born in Roanoke, VA on September 14, 1945 to the late Frank C.and Lillian(Maloney) Roberts, Sr. Fred was a dedicated firefighter for Charlotte-Mecklenburg County for over 18 years.

He loved being outside in nature and particularly enjoyed spending time on friend's farm visiting with her and the horses. He also found joy and peace in fishing by a quiet pond whenever he could.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Jeanne Roberts McKenzie. He is survived by his children, Zachary "Chase" (Lauren) Roberts, Kelly R. (Rein) Cruz; grandchildren, Colt Kermode, Natalie and Aiden Tripp, Nicholas, Samantha and Jeremy Cruz; brothers, Frank C. (Marie) Roberts and Carl H. (Karen) Roberts.

An informal Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at Gaskin Funeral Services, 14617 Lawyers Rd, Matthews, NC 28104, on February 16, 2024 from 3PM to 5 PM.
