Hal L. Helms

Hal L. Helms, 84, of Matthews, entered his eternal home Sunday, July 9, 2017. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict where he was stationed in Alaska. Hal was a committed family man, and truly loved the Lord. He was very meticulous in everything he did. It was important to him to always do his best. For many years he owned and operated "Helpmate", a handyman company where he was known for his fair business practices. Survivors include his wife, Audrey Helms; two sons, Doug Helms and his wife, Cindy Lain Helms, and Tony L. Helms and his wife Annette; his brother, Roy F. Helms and his wife Shelby; two sisters, Ramelle Hartsell and her husband Roy, and Ruby Honeycutt and her husband, Joe; his grandson, Jordan Lain Helms.
