Clinton Sasser

James Clinton Sasser, 80, of Indian Trail peacefully went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 29th.  He leaves behind his loving wife of 58 years, Hope Sasser and their children Eric Sasser (Anita) and Leah Belk (Mike); his brother, Lynn Sasser (Debbie); his grandchildren Mason Sasser (Ayie), Joshua Belk (Tori Howerton), Cullen Belk (Ashley), Jeremy Sasser (Sara Graiger), and Mia Sasser; and one great grandchild, Selina Sasser.

Clinton was a hardworking, humble man who loved his family.  He proudly served our country in the United States Navy.  Clinton was a man of few words who showed his love for others through his actions.  He loved to work with his hands and build things.  He was a very talented woodworker.  Clinton loved fishing and spending time with family at the beach.  It was not uncommon to see him riding around in his gator on Mill Grove Road, visiting family and friends.

Clinton was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin & Frances Sasser.

A visitation will take place at the legacy campus of Hopewell Baptist Church on Wednesday, June 1st at 1:00pm.  The funeral service will begin at 2:00pm.  The burial will take place at the Hopewell Baptist Church cemetery at the conclusion of the funeral service.
