Jeff W. Hunt

May 15, 1968 — September 26, 2016

For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain ~ Philippians 1:21 Jeffrey Wayne Hunt was born May 15, 1968 and was called home on September 26, 2016. He was a devoted husband, father, son and brother whose commitment to his God and to his faith was evident in every action and interaction. Born in Lawrenceburg, TN to Gerald and Shirley Hunt, he and older brother Wade attended the University of Tennessee where Jeff received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree. Jeff moved to Atlanta, GA where he met and married the love of his life, Susan, and welcomed children Katie, Adam and Evy. The family later moved to Matthews, NC where he worked for Bank of America. He loved to fish, read and play games with his family. His sense of humor and peaceful nature left an indelible mark on everyone he met. Jeff is forever in our thoughts and in our hearts. Jeff was preceded in death by daughter Katie Hunt, paternal grandparents Columbus and Mary Vernon Hunt and maternal grandparents Travis and Dean Jones. Jeff is survived by his wife Susan Hunt and children, Adam and Evy; his parents Gerald and Shirley Hunt; his older brother Wade Hunt and sister-in-law Cindy; his sister-in-law Tricia Finesilver and husband Billy; his nephew CJ and nieces Emily and Julia; his in-laws Jack and Marianne Allred. * In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Monroe Carrell Jr. at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital and Fishing Has No Boundaries.
