Keith Douglas Thompson
It is with great sadness that the family of Keith Thompson announces his passing on June 19, 2021, at the age of 51. Keith was a much beloved son, husband, father and fierce friend.
He is survived by his wife, Becki; sons, Darrell, Bradley, and Charles; his loving mother, Polly; and brother, Kevin (Karen). Keith will also be lovingly remembered by awesome aunts and uncles, crazy cousins, adoring nieces and nephews, along with many family members and friends.
Keith was a proud member and active alumnus of his deeply treasured fraternity, Sigma Phi Epsilon. He was an Eagle Scout and has continued to serve The Boy Scouts of America as a committee chair and mentor through Troop 79. Keith had been a realtor/broker for 21 years in the Charlotte area where he built his business enthusiastically helping many clients start or complete their next chapters in life. They have since become great friends as that was his personality and passion.
Please join the family in a celebration of Keith’s life, 4:00 p.m. Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Mercy Church, 7200 Providence Road, Charlotte. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Keith's name to The Boy Scouts of America - https://donations.scouting.org/#/council/415/appeal/4719 or the national fraternal organization of Sigma Phi Epsilon.
Becki, I cannot imagine what you are going through. My heart breaks in trying. Sending you all our love from your old coaching team and your MLA land.

When moving down from NYS , we met Keith . He worked with our family to find the right home and area for us. We are saddened to hear that he has gone on to his final new home. Always will remember his smile!

The news of Keiths passing is so unexpected; we had just spoke days before and planned to get together. Keith was an amazing man a devoted husband, loving father (who always gushed about Becki and his boys whenever we spoke), a wonderful friend and an outstanding realtor. I met Keith in 2005, my husband and I were looking to relocate from another state to North Carolina for more opportunities for ourselves and our family as a whole. I will never forget sitting in Keiths office at the onset of our real estate journey. I was quite nervous about the decision to relocate and more importantly, I had no idea where to look to buy a home. In my nervousness, I cupped my empty hands together, raised them up and showed him while saying, Everything we have is in my hands. I have one shot, one opportunity to make the right decision for my family and our future. I cant afford to make a mistake or we could lose everything. It was in that moment, our conversation switched from realtor-to-client to friend-to-friend. We shared family and hardship stories; it was honest and raw and all the cards were on the table for both of us. I knew from that moment I found someone my family could trust, someone who wouldnt steer us wrong. Keith found us the home weve lived in for over 15+ years and still own today. Weve since shared other home purchases, baseball games, corporate outings and Ive even had the honor of having Keith and Becki at our home. What my husband and I loved most about Keith is that he was honest, kind and thoughtful. Just days before his passing, he was the voice of reason I needed to hear in helping me make a huge life decision for our family. I am grateful for knowing Keith and for the friendship our family shared with him. This is a great loss and he will be deeply missed. Keith might have been a realtor, but he didnt sell houses, he sold homes and home is where the heart is. feeling sad.
