Larry Gene Rape Sr.

Larry Gene Rape, Sr, 70, of Monroe, went to be with the Lord Tuesday evening, March 20, 2018. He is preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis Burgess. Mr Rape was born March 2, 1948, in Union County, NC, and was the son of the late Rufus Rape and Frances Wall Rape. His immediate family, in addition to his mother Frances Rape, includes his wife Carolyn Medlin Rape; sons, Stephen D. Rape and his wife, Melissa, and Larry (Butch) Rape, Jr and his wife, Christy; a daughter, Lisa R. Jordan and her husband, Tim; brother, Rufus Rape; sisters, Sylvia Driggers and her husband, Benny, and Freda Barbee; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Family visitation will be 1:00PM Friday, March 23, 2018, at Love Baptist Church, 707 Deese Rd, Monroe, NC 28110. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00PM.
