Margaret "Bobbie" Knight

Margaret Rebecca Hollifield Knight, matriarch of the Knight family, passed away Wednesday the 19th of April, 2017, at Novant Matthews Medical Center. All that knew her called her Bobbie. Bobbie was born in 1945 in the mountains of North Carolina. She made her life's work caring for others. A long-time childcare provider and mother to six, Bobbie loved the joy only a child brings. Bobbie also ran her own nightly cleaning business for several years, all the while providing childcare services in her home. Bobbie loved the beach, gardening, cooking, decorating for the seasons and most of all spending time with her family. She had a heart full of compassion and care that she was not afraid to share with all. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Jerry " Wayne" Knight. Their love has been an inspiration for all that witnessed it. She is also survived by all six of her children; Cathy Slate (and fiance Tommy Duncan), Laura Klein, Michelle Bain (and husband Tommy Bain), Jason Knight, Adam Knight (and fiance Amy McDonald), and David Knight; her thirteen grandchildren, Jessica, Christopher, Stephanie, Lorne, Savannah, Sarah, Chelsea, Emily, Jacob, Tyler and Kenleigh, Timothy and Chandler; also her two great-grandaughters McKenzie and Emma Grace.
