Mary Burnette Little

CHARLOTTE, NC - Mary Burnette Little passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023, after a lengthy illness.  

She was born in London, England on November 1, 1945, daughter of the late Ota Olin and Annie Knight Burnette.

Mary arrived in America, with her parents, as a passenger on the Queen Mary. She graduated from East Mecklenburg High School and attended Queens Business College. For twenty-six years, she worked for Mecklenburg County Tax Office and enjoyed flea market and antique shopping. She especially enjoyed family reunions. Mary was a born-again Christian who was not ashamed to tell others about her Savior and Lord. She was also a very devoted mother to her two sons, Larry Eugene Little, Jr. and Christopher Michael Little, both of Charlotte.

She will be remembered by all who knew her for her loving attention to her family and sweet spirit.

Funeral services will be private.
