Micky Porter

Millicent Kimbrell "Micky" Porter, 83, of Charlotte, passed away Thursday evening, October 19, 2017. Micky was born and raised in Charlotte, was a graduate of Central High School, and graduated from Meredith College. During her career, Micky worked at many things from teaching and tutoring to bookkeeping, but her true calling was her family and children. She was preceeded in death by her husband of 58 years, Bill Porter, and survived by their three children, David and his wife, Kimberly, Sandy, Kim Wilson and her husband, Keith; six grandchildren, Jesse, Blake, Egor, Dasha, Leslie, and Lindsay; four great grandchildren, Hudson, Piper, Hensley and Hadley. *In lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting memorials be made to Carmel Presbyterian Church or Smile Train.( Please select "Place A Donation" from the column to the left for addresses) - -
