Ola Ree Abernethy

Ola Ree Abernethy, 81 of Midland, NC met Jesus Christ face to face on Friday, October 26, 2018. She was a loving wife, mom, mamaw, and sister. Her kindness, love and laughter will be dearly missed. Her children and family will miss her committed prayer life, knowing she was always lifting them up; her dedication to the church and her life example. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jap and Mary Edwards, brother Lewis Edwards and sister Janie Hall. Leaving behind her husband, Charles Wesley Abernethy, children Chuck Abernethy(Vickie), Leigh Ann Benlian(JP) and Mecca Cross(Larry). Two grandchildren Brannon J. Walters (Kaity)and Megan Johnson of Lancaster, SC. Three Great Grandchildren, Olyvia Walters, Kaydence Johnson and Alexis Johnson. And her siblings Cora Mills, Gene Edwards, Louise Lisenby, Betty Mauldin and Kay Lee In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to Rocky River Presbyterian Church. Ree loved her church and found such peace there. -
