Patty was a terrific athlete, playing field hockey, tennis, and golf, eventually becoming the Women's Club Champion in golf several years running at Ponce Country Club. She continued playing golf into her eighties at the Tides Country Club in Seminole. She was a water safety instructor and a devoted Girl Scout leader, loved and respected by her scouts.
