Ronald P. "Ron" Belk

Ronald Payne "Big Daddy" Belk, 71, went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, September 27, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Richard, sister Brenda Stegall, and grandsons Matthew and Joshua. Big Daddy was a steadfast disciple of Christ, loyal husband, responsible son, proud father, and passionate defender of his country. All who knew him loved him. He was our teddy bear. He is best remembered for his ability to paint a vivid picture with his words. Big Daddy is survived by his Butterfly (wife), Dianne Nance Belk of Monroe; his brother Dennis Belk (Vicki) of Myrtle Beach, SC; his son David Belk (Melissa) of Gastonia, NC and his daughters, Alison Gallagher (Jim), Andrea Baker (Brandon), and Adrienne Plyler (Travis) all of Monroe, NC and his "adopted" son, Mike Eiss (Dianne) of Monroe, NC. His grandchildren are Becca, Caleb, Richard, Tyler, Aniston, Savannah, Kylie, Bella, Jacob, Joshua, Hannah, Kassidy, Brayden and his great granddaughter, Aubree Grace. He is also well loved by his sisters in law and brothers in law and many nieces and nephews. -
