Roslyn Riley

February 7, 1956 — February 28, 2022

On February 28th, God decided to call home our beloved mother, GiGi, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.

“Roz,” as she was affectionally known, was born February 7, 1956, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Lawrence Leach, Sr. and Doris Jackson.

She was educated in her early years within the Philadelphia Catholic School System. She spent her latter high school years at John F. Kennedy High School in Willingboro, NJ. Upon completing high school, Roz enrolled in the Radiology Program at St. Joseph’s Hospital where she attained her Radiology Technologist Registration.

After some years in healthcare, Roz pursued a new career as a Travel Consultant for Cruise Value Center and later Crown Cruise Vacations. As a Travel Consultant she excelled at this profession and was recognized with multiple awards for her outstanding service and attention to details. She was beloved by her clients and coworkers and forged strong friendships within the travel industry.

A longtime dedicated member of Elevation Church, Roz was a faithful, devoted volunteer as part of the Connections Team. She enjoyed stewarding first-time guests and welcomed people to the Ballantyne Campus with Grace and with open arms. Roz connected many souls to further their relationships to Jesus through volunteer teams, eGroups, participating in outreach events and various church functions. She loved her church family and appreciated the support they showed throughout her journey.

Roz enjoyed cheering for the Philadelphia Eagles, cooking family dinners, jigsaw puzzles, and cruising around the world. She also cherished the moments that she spent at the South Carolina beach with her family.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Keisha Riley; son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Ashley Riley; and her grandsons, the loves of her life and her pride and joy; Lucas and Jonah Riley.

She is survived by her parents, Lawrence Leach, Sr. and Doris Jackson, beloved siblings, Rita Winfield (Vernon); Lawrence Leach, Jr. (Vivian); Terri Riley (Wayne); Toni Blanton (Frank); Robyn Leach; Kim Walls (Keith), nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Elevation Blakeney (8835 Blakeney Professional Dr., Charlotte, NC 28277). Doors open at 9:30 am with services starting at 10 am.

In lieu of flowers, we are asking for donations to be made to Elevation Church’s Outreach Program (www.elevationchurch.org/giving), which provided support and resources to Roz’s family throughout these times.
